The way back to life

The road back from exhaustion can be long and winding. It is certainly filled with many emotions, symptoms and fears. The most important thing is that you know and trust that you can get well. If you have so much power, drive and will that you have managed to push yourself so far that you have ended up in exhaustion, then you are strong enough to get back. You will rebuild confidence in yourself over time. You have probably been ignoring your body's signals for a long time, perhaps most of your life. It has signaled higher and higher but you have continued to drive. Or you simply didn't understand. The joints have started to hurt, you've got IBS, the migraines are worse and come more often. You get sick all the time, you are easily irritated and close to crying. You sleep less or more than usual. You prioritize the fun in life or you don't enjoy it. You wave away and drive on - you don't have time to be sick. Until you are there. Your body doesn't trust you to listen when it signals. Therefore, it now screams for the tiniest bit. The more you start listening, the more it lowers the voice. You become friends again and work together.

Self-esteem and living happily

With exhaustion often comes existential questions about the meaning of life. How should you live to be happy and what actually makes you happy? Maybe yours falls self-esteem perfectly because it was not a true self-esteem but a performance-based one. As long as you proved to yourself and others that you performed, you had value. But now, when the body says stop and you can no longer perform, what are you worth?

The answer, of course, is that you are worth everything. You are the most important thing there is. You just have to understand it yourself, love comes from within.
