Thus the eternal question “who am i really?” space when you have more time for reflection.

Negative emotions have an undeserved bad reputation

Already at an early age we are taught that some emotions are worse than others. A parent's natural instinct to comfort their child when they cry or blow away the pain is deeply rooted. We learn as children that a kind child is a child who does not show anger. What parent hasn't downplayed their child's sadness and anger by explaining that they're just tired and need to sleep? When the screaming and crying try to convey a completely different feeling than just tiredness. Another emotion that is often tried to be curbed at all costs is fear.

It is therefore not so strange when, as an adult, you feel guilt and shame when you experience these feelings. If the power of evolution gave us humans thumbs but no tail. Have negative or troublesome emotions like thumbs perhaps given us an evolutionary advantage because they still exist? Both beautiful and difficult feelings try to tell us something. Therefore, it is just as wise to listen to sadness and fear as to joy and security.

Joby feelings during the Corona crisis?

No doubt there are mental states that are not good for us. But we often confuse difficult feelings with mental illness. Feeling sad and sad or angry and angry during the Corona crisis is not necessarily a sign of mental illness. They can often be healthy signals that some form of change is needed. A conclusion that many nevertheless correctly draw. The problem is that we tend to look for change outside of ourselves. We change jobs, partners or homes when, in fact, it is within ourselves that the change needs to take place

These signals in the form of troublesome feelings are often classified as something negative that needs to be pushed aside. The way out of the slump is often to Reverse out of it with the aim of "coming back" to a place where you were before. In this way, the crater you found yourself in will once again lie in front of you on the path of life. For example, many seek divorce as a solution to their situation, only to later find themselves in an identical situation as before but with a new partner.

Sometimes you need a life crisis that shakes you up enough to make you realize that the only thing you can change is yourself. Maybe the Corona crisis has made many people realize that?
